Litchfield Park, Ariz. – Melena Barrientos shot a career-best 64 (-6) and Clemson women’s golf moved into second place heading into the final round of the 2025 Clover Cup. The Tigers shot -7 on the day to sit at -5 following two rounds of play.
Barrientos’ six-under-par score is her lowest score to par of her career and the 64 is also her best tally as a Tiger and just one stroke off of the school record (63). The Plano, Texas., native turned in seven birdies and just one bogey on the day, marking the best individual round at the tournament through the first two days. She now sits alone in third place heading into Wednesday’s final round.
Katherine Schuster and Juliette Demeaux each turned in rounds under par on Tuesday, both carding a two-under-par 68. Schuster now sits alone in 7th place heading into Wednesday. Chloe Holder carded a +3 to sit just outside the top 10 at No. 11 after two rounds, followed by Sydney Roberts, who also turned in a +3 to sit in 18th place. Playing as an individual, Ivy Schulze is at +12 through two rounds.
As a team, Clemson’s -7 second-round tally is the best round of the tournament, so far. The Tigers moved from fourth to second following Tuesday’s round and now sit just two strokes behind tournament-leader Arizona State (-7), who shot one under par on Tuesday. Texas A&M and Indiana are tied for third at even.
