AgSouth Homegrown Athlete of the Week – Steve Wilkerson

Wilkerson led the Tigers to three wins last week, including a three-game sweep of Virginia Tech, by going 6-for-14 (.429) with two doubles, one triple, one homer, five RBIs, five runs, and one walk in four games.  At Western Carolina on Tuesday, he went 3-for-4 with one double, two RBIs, and two runs.  Then in the Virginia Tech series, he hit a double, triple, and homer in the sweep.  On the season, he is hitting .342 with three doubles, one triple, one homer, seven RBIs, nine runs, a .386 on-base percentage, and one steal in 11 games (11 starts).  He has also hit safely in all 11 of his games in 2014.
