On April 26, 2025, Clemson University’s Memorial Stadium— known as “Death Valley”—hosted an unprecedented event in its storied history: a Banana Ball game featuring the Savannah Bananas and the Party Animals, which the Bananas won, 4-3. It marked the first time the stadium was transformed to accommodate a baseball game, which featured a 190-foot left field line and 50-foot-tall netting system. The event drew 81,000 fans, making it the largest attendance in Banana Ball history.

This game was part of the Bananas’ 2025 World Tour, which includes stops at 18 Major League Baseball stadiums and three football stadiums across 40 cities in 25 states. The overwhelming response to the Clemson event, with tickets selling out months in advance in just four hours, underscores the growing popularity of Banana Ball and its appeal to fans seeking a blend of sports and entertainment.
The Bananas, renowned for their entertaining and unconventional approach to baseball, brought their signature flair to Clemson.
The day started with Fan Fest in the Rogers Family Lot. The Bananas and Party Animals took part in Tiger Walk, before their stage show.
The evening was filled with choreographed dances, fan interactions, and comedic performances that are hallmarks of the Bananas’ games. Clemson’s Head Football Coach Dabo Swinney led the Bananas down the Hill ahead of first pitch, and Ring of Honor member C.J. Spiller also joined in the celebration. Tiger Band joined for a halftime performance of Katy Perry’s “Roar.” The game concluded with a fireworks display.
Jesse Cole, owner of the Savannah Bananas closed the event with one message – “You just made our dreams come true.”
The event not only showcased the Bananas’ unique brand of baseball but also highlighted Clemson’s ability to host large-scale, non-traditional sporting events, further cementing Memorial Stadium’s reputation as a versatile and iconic venue.
