Clemson, S.C. – Senior forward Raven Thompson scored 18 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead Clemson women’s basketball (16-7, 7-4 ACC) to a 77-58 win against Florida State (7-15, 2-8 ACC) at Littlejohn Coliseum on Sunday afternoon.
Four Tigers registered double-digit points in the contest. Junior guard Hannah Kohn scored 15 points and four 3-pointers (first double-digit performance since Dec. 17 at Charleston Southern). Junior guard/forward Rusne Augustinaite (14 points) also knocked down four triples, and senior guard Rachael Rose added 10 points of her own. Senior forward Hadley Periman was a force inside, grabbing a season-high 15 rebounds, scoring seven points, dishing out a season-high five assists and three blocks.

HOW THE GAME WAS DECIDEDClemson never trailed after the first quarter. An FSU three-pointer gave the Seminoles a 7-6 lead with 4:51 left in the opening frame. Augustinaite responded with three of her own, claiming a 9-6 lead that Clemson would only grow the rest of the game. Clemson’s advantage grew to as high as 25 points in the fourth quarter.
