Clemson Falls In Nail Biter To Virginia Tech, 71-68

Blacksburg, Va. – Clemson women’s basketball (13-7, 4-4 ACC) fell to Virginia Tech (15-5, 5-3 ACC) by a slim score of 71-68 at Cassell Coliseum on Thursday night.

Taylor Johnson-Matthews (20 points) recorded her third 20-plus point outing of the season. Raven Thompson (16 points) scored in double-digit points for the eighth time this campaign. Mia Moore (12 points) hit double-figures for the 14th time this season.

Virginia Tech was paced by a pair of 24-point performances by Carys Baker and Carleigh Wenzel.

HOW THE GAME WAS DECIDED

Across the final 2:23 minutes of action, the Hokies held off the Tigers and went on an 11-0 run to secure the Clemson defeat.
