Shurtleff & Masaracchia Receive USA Lacrosse Preseason All-American Nods

CLEMSON, S.C. – USA Lacrosse Magazine announced its 2026 Women’s NCAA Division I Preseason All-Americans on Tuesday afternoon, with Clemson standouts Natalie Shurtleff (Second Team midfielder) and Paris Masaracchia (Honorable Mention defender) earning national recognition.

Shurtleff becomes just the third Tiger in program history to receive preseason All-America honors. Masaracchia is the first Clemson player to earn preseason All-America distinction multiple times after being named to the Second Team last year. Shurtleff also collected Third-Team All-America honors at the conclusion of the 2025 season.

SHURTLEFF HIGHLIGHTS

  • Shurtleff in the record book:
    • Clemson’s all-time points leader with 99.
    • Ranks second in career assists (41).
    • Holds the second-most assists in a season (21 in 2025) and is tied for third (20 in 2024).
    • Tied for fourth on Clemson’s career goals list alongside Regan Byrne and is just two goals shy of entering the top three.
    • Tied for sixth-most points in a season (57 in 2025) and ranks 10th (42 in 2024).
    • Eighth-most goals in a season with 36 (2025).
    • Shares the program record for most assists in a game (four on April 5, 2025, vs. Virginia Tech).
    • Sixth in career ground balls (46).
    • Fifth in career draw controls (69) and 10th in single season draw controls (35 in 2025).
    • Seventh in career turnovers (23).
    • Tied for second in career game-winning goals (three), including two last seasons.
    • Fourth in career free-position goals (13).

  • Masaracchia in the record book:
    • Has started all 57 games of her career, the most in Clemson history, and is tied for the program record for games played.
    • Clemson’s all-time leader in ground balls (95).
    • Clemson’s all-time leader in caused turnovers (66).
    • Ranks second (28 in 2024) and third (25 in 2025) for most caused turnovers in a season.
    • Tied for second in single-game caused turnovers (five on April 24, 2024) and tied for fifth (four on April 25, 2025).
    • Appears three times on Clemson’s single-season ground balls list, including a tie for third (35) and 10th (25 in 2023).
    • Holds the top three single-game ground ball performances in program history, having the most (eight), second-most (six) and being tied for third-most (five).
    • Her 44 draw controls in 2024 and 43 in 2023 rank seventh and eighth, respectively, on Clemson’s all-time single-season list.
