Mia Moore’s 18 Points Propel Clemson Past Western Carolina, 77-44

Nassau, Bahamas, Nov. 28, 2025 – Senior guard Mia Moore’s 18 points, six assists, five rebounds, and matched a career-best five steals led Clemson women’s basketball (5-2, 0-1 ACC) to a 77-44 win against Western Carolina (2-5, SoCon) in the 2025 Baha Mar Nassau Championship (Junkanoo Division) at the Baha Mar Convention Center on Friday night.

Moore (18 points, six assists, and career-best five steals) collected her fourth straight game in double-digit points and her fourth straight contest of four-or more assists. Senior guard Taylor Johnson-Matthews (season-best 14 points) logged her second game of the year with three-plus three pointers. Senior guard Rachael Rose (13 points) matched a season-best three 3-pointers made. Senior guard/forward Hadley Periman (seven rebounds) led the tigers on the glass.

Western Carolina was led by the scoring duo of Ary Dizon (15 points) and Ally Hollifield (11 points).

HOW THE GAME WAS DECIDED

Clemson scored 18 unanswered points to start the second period, spanning the last two minutes of the first frame to the midway point of the second stanza, and the Tigers led, 31-12. Within the run, Johnson-Matthews scored 13 of her 14 points and knocked down all of her 3-pointers. The Tigers went on to push their advantage to as high as 36 points in the fourth frame.
