CLEMSON, S.C. – Wahabu Musah, Ransford Gyan and Nathan Richmond soared the Tigers past Cal Friday night at Historic Riggs Field. The 3-1 win moves Clemson to 4-2-2 on the year.
Wahabu Musah got things started for the Tigers with a goal in the 4′ assisted by Ransford Gyan and Nathan Richmond. Gyan now has four assists on the year which leads the team. Gyan came in hot to net his seventh goal of the season in the 49′ with an assist from Duncan Wilson to stretch the Tigers’ lead to 2-0. In the 64′ Cal scored to bring the score within one. Richmond knocked in a goal in the 73′ minute to score the Tigers’ third goal of the night with an assist from Remi Okunlola.
Clemson played a man down for the final 11 minutes of the match after Musah received his second yellow forcing him to leave the match.
Gyan now has seven goals on the season. Gyan’s seven goals lead the team and he stands second in the ACC averaging 0.86 goals per game.
