Clemson, S.C.—Kelley Hester has added another in-state golfer to the Clemson family, as Anderson-native Ivy Schulze signed with the Tigers last week.
Schulze was a two-time region champ at nearby T.L. Hanna High School, leading her team to a third place finish in both the Upper State Championship and State Championship and two school-record performances.
“Ivy is a local talent with Clemson roots,” said Hester. “She is off the charts smart and an extremely hard worker. We look for Ivy to fit right into our team culture and be a great Tiger!”
At Hanna, Schulze was a two-time individual Region Champion and ranked eighth in the state. As a senior, she held a stroke average of 77.6 and was selected to compete in the SCHSL North/South All-Star Tournament. As a junior, Schulze shot a low round of 68 in the SCHSL 5A State Championship, giving her the distinction of being the T.L. Hanna 18-hole record holder.
Schulze won multiple scholastic awards at Hanna, including being named to the T.L. Hanna High School AP Scholar Hall of Fame, an AP Scholar Award winner and participated in the Beta Club, Mu Alpha Theta, the National Honors Society and Interact Club.
