Tallahassee, Fla. – Coming off a fourth-place finish in the first tournament of the spring, Clemson women’s golf is set to participate in the Florida State Matchup this weekend. The 9th annual Florida State Matchup is taking place at the par-72, 6,255 yard Seminole Legacy Golf Club. Teams will play 54 holes (18 each day) over three days.

Clemson is paired with Kent State for the matchup portion of the tournament, but will play round one with Florida State and Virginia Tech.
The Florida State Matchup Tournament is the only one of its kind in NCAA Women’s Golf. The twelve teams will tee off in threesomes. The matchup portion of the tournament will be determined by taking the best four scores from the partners (a total of ten players) and the worst score to make the matchup team total. At the end of the tournament, the teams with the lowest score will win the matchup. There will also be a team champion and an individual champion.
