Position: Director of Video & Technology
Carter Fricks is in his first season with the Tiger program as director of video & technology in 2025. Fricks oversees all video and technological applications used in advancing player and scouting development, including applications owned by the program, as he collects data, breaks down film and provides analysis to players and coaches. He also assists in all camp and summer operations taking place within the baseball facilities.
The native of Pendleton, S.C. and graduate of D.W. Daniel High School played two years as a catcher at Toccoa (Ga.) Falls College. He was a member of the 2019 team that advanced to the NCCAA World Series. He hit .324 as a sophomore in 2020, as his season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Fricks transferred to Clemson in 2020 and worked with the program in a student capacity from 2021-24. He was a bullpen catcher in 2021 and 2022, then became a graduate manager in charge of video operations. He served in that capacity in 2023 and 2024, helping the Tigers to the 2023 ACC championship and 2024 ACC Atlantic Division title.
He was born Carter Lee Fricks on Dec. 17, 1999 in Greenville, S.C. The Pendleton, S.C. native received his bachelor’s degree in business management from Clemson in 2022 and earned his master’s degree in athletic leadership from Clemson in 2024, as he had a 4.0 GPA in graduate school.
