Clemson opens its 2025 home slate on Tuesday, Feb. 18 against Charlotte.
This will be the sixth time the two programs have met, and the fourth time meeting at McWhorter Stadium.
The Tigers hold a 5-0 all-time record against the Niners, including a 3-0 home record vs. Charlotte. Clemson’s last two meetings with Charlotte concluded with run-rule victories: 9-1 in five innings in 2023 and 11-2 in five innings in 2020.
The current Charlotte coaching staff has a rich history with Clemson softball as current Niners’ Head Coach Courtney Breault was an assistant coach with the Tigers from 2020-2024 and one of the founding staff members.
Assistant coaches Jake Combs (2020-21) and Alyssa Bilodeau (2022-24) are former Clemson Softball graduate assistants, and Bilodeau served on the staff in 2024 as the Director of Player Development.
Charlotte Director of Operations is former Clemson athlete, Bailey Taylor (2020-22), who finished with a .247 career batting average through 56 games played for the Tigers.
Clemson currently holds a .306 batting average. The Tigers also have a .547 slugging percentage and .383 on-base percentage.
The Tigers’ pitching staff holds a 3.98 ERA through 65 innings of work with 2754strikeouts.

Clemson has outscored opponents 61-45 through two weekends of play.
The Tigers take a streak of 31 games where they have scored a run into the Charlotte game dating back to March 30, 2024.
The Tigers totaled 85 hits through 10 games in 2025, including the freshman class contributing 34 of those hits, while returners Alex Brown (15), Julia Knowler (12) and Maddie Moore (10) added to the count.

Freshman Macey Cintron has struck Clemson’s lineup in a powerful way say game one.
Becoming the second freshman in as many years to hit a lead off home run in her first collegiate at bat, Cintron continues to push Clemson’s offensive prowess.
The Cumming, Ga., native has taken over the cleanup spot in the lineup following the powerhouses of Maddie Moore and Julia Knowler to hold a .393 average, including a .893 slugging percentage and .486 on-base percentage.
Currently tying for the team lead with four home runs, Cintron has 12 RBIs through her first 10 games.
In 10 games, she is only one home run shy of cracking Clemson’s Freshman Top 5 Home Run list (full list below) and five RBIs shy of cracking the RBI list (see below).
