Clemson takes a 35-11 overall record and 14-4 ACC record into the three-game series against Boston College.
This opening game will mark the 11th time Clemson and Boston College will meet in program history and the seventh time to two teams have met in McWhorter.
The Tigers hold an 9-1 record against the Eagles.
Clemson currently holds a .340 batting average. The Tigers also have a .580 slugging percentage and .431 on-base percentage.
The Tigers’ pitching staff holds a 2.80 ERA through 295 innings of work with 217 strikeouts.

SENIOR WEEKEND

Clemson will recognize a handful of Tigers over the course of the weekend stretch.
Prior to Thursday’s game, Clemson will honor ClemsonLIFE manager Amazing Grace Clements for her time with the program.
Prior to Friday’s game, Clemson will recognize graduate assistant Taylor Roby for her time with the program over the last two years.
Following Saturday’s game, Clemson will honor and recognize nine student athletes for their time with their program:
- Brooke McCubbin – Will finish her master’s degree while interning with Conference Carolina
- Aby Vieira – Will pursue a graduate degree while serving as a GA with Arizona State Softball
- Reese Basinger – Will pursue medical school
- Haylee Whitesides – Will work towards a master’s degree at North Greenville
- Abi Stuart – Will work in medical sales
- Brook Melnychuk – Will complete her master’s degree in business administration
- Jadeyn Ruszkowski – Will work with Athletes Unlimited Softball running the league’s Instagram
- Alex Brown – Will pursue a master’s degree and work in athletics
- Maddie Moore – Will work with the Greenville Drive

A GAME OF NUMBERS

Friday’s series opener against NC State marked Head Coach John Rittman’s 1,400 game at the helm of a college softball program.
Rittman eclipsed a 971-426-3 record during that stretch, including 221-75 as the Clemson head coach – currently sits with a 974-426-3 record (224-75 at Clemson).
Clemson will reach 300 games in program history in the opening game of the Boston College series on April 17.
The softball program placed itself in a position to have one of the best records through the first 200 games amongst Clemson sports (155 wins, 45 losses – .775) – the 155 wins was the most by a program through 200 games at Clemson.
This comes after the Tigers paced themselves to tie with women’s tennis for the most wins through 100 games (78 wins, 22 losses – .780).
The softball program once again paced itself to have one of the best records at Clemson through 300 games holding a 224-75 (.749).
