SARASOTA, Fla. – The Clemson Rowing program finished up two days of competition for the Big 10 Invitational at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, Florida. The invitational was highlighted by five podium finishes for the Tigers in their 15 flights in which they raced.
“This was an awesome weekend of racing for the team,” said Head Rowing Coach Adrienne Martelli about the weekend. “I think throughout all boats we found a little more grit and had some really tight races where we had to be comfortable sitting side by side with another crew. There’s obviously still things to work on, but this was a great step. We’re looking forward to Lake Wheeler Invite which will have another three races.
The weekend was also pretty phenomenal to get to watch such tight racing across so many events. The depth and competitiveness in women’s rowing is truly exciting to witness. We’re grateful for the opportunity to get to race against so many other teams from across the country. A big thank you to the Big 10 group for hosting.”
