Softball Announces 2024 Schedule

CLEMSON, S.C. – In preparation to knock the door down in the fifth season of the team, Head Coach John Rittman and the Clemson Softball program have announced the 2024 regular-season schedule for next spring. The Tigers are set to play 52 games, 27 of which will be played in McWhorter Stadium, beginning on Feb. 8, 2023. With a stacked schedule that includes facing 13 teams that made a Regional appearance, three that made a Super Regional and two that made it to the Women’s College World Series, Clemson has positioned itself for another competitive season on the diamond.

Season ticket renewals begin on Wednesday, Nov. 15 on ClemsonTigers.com. Renewals are available for $375 ($15 per date) for a reserved season seat in Section 4, for $325 ($13 per date) for a reserved seat in Sections 1-3 and 5-7 and $200 ($8 per date) for a general admission berm ticket. Season ticket holders will have until Dec. 8 to renew their seats.

Single game tickets will be available to IPTAY members beginning on January 18, with tickets going on sale to the general public on January 25. Tickets will be available online prior to the season, as well as available at the gate for every regular-season home game. The Tigers are coming off their second-consecutive NCAA Super Regional and third postseason appearance in only the fourth year of the program. Coach Rittman led Clemson to a 49-12 overall record in 2023, and the Tigers have hosted a Regional in each of the last two seasons.

Rittman and the Tigers will open the 2024 slate with 11 road games. Clemson begins with five games in Clearwater, Fla., Feb. 8-11 at the NFCA Leadoff Classic against Missouri State, Indiana, Liberty, Oregon and Missouri. The following week, Feb. 14-17, Clemson will face Wichita State, UC San Diego, Utah, Auburn and Mississippi State in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, before concluding the opening road stretch at Charlotte on Feb. 21.

Clemson opens the home portion at McWhorter Stadium Feb. 23-25 with the Clemson Classic hosting Ole Miss, Miami (OH) and UConn in a round-robin tournament. The Tigers will also host the Tiger Invitational March 7-10 welcoming Minnesota (two games), Mercer, Fordham and Longwood to town.

The Tigers open ACC play March 1 with a three-game series in McWhorter Stadium against NC State. Additional ACC foes coming to Clemson during the regular season include North Carolina (March 15-17), Boston College (March 28-30) and Duke (April 12-14).

Clemson’s first ACC road trip comes on March 22 with a three-game series at Virginia. The Tigers are also slated to visit Syracuse (April 5-7), Notre Dame (April 19-21) and Louisville (April 26-28).

Non-conference competition is highlighted by the Tigers facing SEC opponents Tennessee (March 5) and South Carolina (March 20) in McWhorter Stadium, while traveling to Athens, Ga. on Feb. 28 to face Georgia and to Columbia, S.C. to conclude the home-and-home series at South Carolina on April 9. Clemson’s additional non-conference opponents include Gardner-Webb (March 13), Georgia State (March 26), Furman (April 2) and Winthrop (April 16), who will all make the trip to McWhorter for mid-week action.

All dates and times for the 2024 season are subject to change. TV designations will be released closer to the beginning of the season.
