2024 Season Preview

The History Continues, 30 Years of Clemson Soccer

With their historic 2023 season in the rearview mirror, the Clemson Tigers women’s soccer program will look to expand on their legacy as the hunt for success continues as they embark on their 30th season on the pitch for the Tigers.

The coaching trio of Eddie Radwanski, Jeff Robbins and Siri Mullinix all are set to return for their 14th season with the Tigers while newest addition, Allison Wetherington enters her second season on the coaching staff for Clemson.

The team will be led by three graduate students, including star-returner Megan Bornkamp and two transfers, Kam Pickett (Pepperdine) and Jordan Thompson (College of Charleston). The squad is also led by six returning seniors in Renee Lyles, Sydney Minarik, Mackenzie Duff, Ella Hauser, Layne St. George and Ally Lynch.

For new additions, the Tigers welcomed freshmen Kendall Bodak, Allie Serlenga, Ella Johnson and Emilia Eriksen in the spring season. Alongside the four freshman, sophomore goalkeeper Nona Reason also joined the Tigers in the spring as she transferred in from North Carolina. Joining the team this fall will be freshmen’s Anna Rydin and Anna Castenfelt, along with sophomore-transfer Christian Brathwaite (Georgia).

With a successful spring campaign and the opportunity to travel abroad to face foreign competition, the Tigers are ready to find success on the pitch and punch their ticket to the College Cup. In the preseason rankings, the Tigers were placed fifth both nationally and in the ACC. With two successful exhibitions under their belt, Clemson is set to begin its 2024 campaign on a high-note.

This season, Clemson will play several noteworthy non-conference opponents including Auburn, West Virginia and South Carolina. In conference-play, Clemson is set to face-off against ranked ACC-foes which includes Florida State, Pittsburgh, North Carolina, and Duke. For the full 2024 schedule click here
