CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson Tigers will travel north to Cambridge, Mass. to compete in the Head of Charles Regatta on October 19th and 20th.  The last regular season regatta that Clemson competed in was the Lake Wheeler Invite in Raleigh N.C. where they earned 10 points in the contest.
The Tigers are sending two Varsity Eight boats to the Head of Charles, with one competing on Saturday afternoon approximately at 1:32 P.M. for the Women’s Club Eights+ and the other rowing on Sunday afternoon for the Women’s Championship Eights+ that is slated to start at 2:25 P.M. The regatta results can be found here and the livestream for the events can be found here.
This will be the first fall regatta under new Head Coach Adrienne Martelli and is joined by assistant coach and recruiting coordinator Kelly Kraiss. Martelli is an Olympic medalist and has spent the past five seasons at California, most recently as Associate Head Coach, finishing in the top ten nationally each season. Martelli was named to the coaching staff for the United States’ 2024 Paris Olympic Team on June 10. Kraiss heads to Clemson after two seasons with the Crimson Tide. While in Tuscaloosa, Kraiss helped lead Alabama to consecutive third-place finishes at the Big 12 Championships and developed seven All-Big 12 recipients, 23 Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) Scholar-Athletes, a CRCA/Pocock All-American, three CSC Academic All-District recipients and one CSC Academic All-American.
