Clemson opens the 2024 season in Kalamazoo, Michigan where they will face off against host Western Michigan, Loyola Chicago and Loyola Marymount
The Tigers enter the 2024 season with a 909-698 overall record after finishing the 2023 season 19-14 with an NIVC Great 8 appearance
This weekend marks the first time Clemson has ever matched up against Western Michigan
Against Loyola Chicago, Clemson holds a 2-0 all-time record with the last meeting coming in 2009 where the Tigers claimed a 3-0 victory
Against Loyola Marymount, the Tigers are 0-1 with the lone meeting between the two programs coming in 2001.

2023 RECAP

Finished the year with a 19-14 overall record for the most wins by the program since 2018.
Made the Great 8 of the NIVC Tournament after capturing victories against Eastern Kentucky and Ball State in the first two rounds.
Clocked in at No. 51 on the first official RPI of 2023 and moved up to No. 45 in the second RPI – this was the highest RPI for the program since 2008 when the team finished 38 in the final RPI that season. Finished the season at No. 62.
Captured the 900th win in program history in the 46th year of competition after defeating Virginia Tech in Jervey Gym – posted a 900-690 record all-time at the time.
Through the first 20 games of the 2023 season, Clemson posted a 12-8 record to mark the best start in program history since 2014 (14-6). Through 25 matches, Clemson was 15-10 for the best record since 2014 (16-9).

JERVEY GYM UPGRADES

Following the conclusion of the 2023 home slate, Clemson began upgrades to Jervey Gym that included re-allocating more than 14,000 square feet of space and raising the roof of Jervey Gym by 15 feet.
The Volleyball Suite directly off the gym will be complete with a team meeting room, lounge, locker room, and student-athlete amenities.
The match day fan experience has also been upgraded to include new lighting, bleachers and sound system. There will also be a brand-new video board and a premier ACEs Club Lounge (slated to open in 2025).
The first official match will be on Sept. 19 at 7 p.m. against Kennesaw State.
Jervey Gym upgrades is in partnership with the Performance and Wellness Center (P.A.W.) that will include the strength and conditioning center, as well as the wellness and recovery space that will house athletic training and the Bistro for dining

NEW FACES

Clemson has added two transfers and five incoming freshmen to the 2024 roster
The Tigers’ two transfer additions include graduate transfer Indigo Young (Charleston Southern) and sophomore Kate Hansen (Texas Tech). The two come in as middle hitters with 304+ blocks between the two of them.
The five incoming freshmen include: Taylor Bahnub, Lejla Hadžiredžepović, Neea Joki, Claire Luoma and Addi Rains
Clemson’s program clocks in as the No. 38 ranked recruiting class by Prep VB
Both Hadžiredžepović and Joki come to Clemson with National/Junior National Team experience after being members of the Iceland National Team and Finnish Junior National Team, respectively.
Luoma and Rains have also spent time with the USA Volleyball National Development Training program in high school, with Luoma being invited to train with them on 10 different occasions.
