CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – Clemson Softball alum Alia Logoleo becomes the fourth Tiger to join the professional softball ranks after agreeing to terms with the Chattanooga Steam, a professional fastpitch team competing in its first season in 2024. Logoleo joins former teammates Valerie Cagle (Athletes Unlimited), Caroline Jacobsen (Athletes Unlimited Championship Season – 2023) and Ansley Gilstrap (Women’s Professional Fastpitch) as former Tigers at the professional level.
Logoleo has spent the previous five seasons with the Tigers, playing in 240 games for the Orange and Regalia. The Nashville, Tenn., native put together a career .299 average at the plate with 195 hits, including 40 home runs, 29 doubles and three triples. She contributed 172 RBIs with 121 runs scored while stealing 32 bases. A four-time All-ACC selection, including a first team nod in 2024, she drew 65 walks and was hit by 18 pitches for a .374 on-base percentage to go along with her .536 slugging percentage. Logoleo holds the Clemson single-game record with 10 RBIs that she hit against Syracuse in 2021 after hitting a grand slam, three-run homer and two-run homer along with a single to secure the 2021 ACC Regular Season Title for the Tigers. Defensively, she contributed 246 putouts and 417 assists while turning 38 double plays.
The primary objective of the Chattanooga Steam is to engage with the city and the surrounding region to be the premier professional softball team of the southeast. The Steam will host three other pro fastpitch teams on two different occasions in Chattanooga. The Steam will also travel to Oklahoma City, Okla., Clearwater, Fla., and Long Island, N.Y., to compete. The team will open competition on Wednesday, June 19 in Chattanooga for the Coca-Cola Scenic City Cup before playing in the Collegiate League Series June 24-29.
