  • Clemson returns 15 letter winners from the 2023 roster, including three players that were All-ACC selections, and added two transfers to bolster the roster in Alex Brown and Lindsey Garcia.
  • Through the first two weeks, Clemson holds a .294 batting average led by Julia Knowler and Valerie Cagle (.385). Clemson also has a .483 slugging percentage and .372 on-base percentage.
  • Clemson’s pitching staff maintains a 1.98 ERA through 53 innings of work and recorded 46 strikeouts.
  • In only the fifth season of the program, Clemson will take on Charlotte for the fifth time – the Tigers have won every matchup between the two programs to date

TO KNOWLER IS TO LOVE HER

  • Julia Knowler jumped onto the collegiate softball scene with a splash during the opening weekend
  • The Fort Myers, Fla., native led off her Clemson career with a solo home run in her first collegiate at-bat. That same game, she tallied a two-run homer and tabbed four RBIs.
  • She finished opening weekend with a .438 average after clocking seven hits – two home runs and two doubles – seven RBIs and three runs with 15 total bases. She also had a .938 slugging percentage and .526 on-base percentage.
  • In the second week, Knowler tallied four RBIs against Wichita State off two hits, a double and a home run to continue her hot start.
  • The freshman leads the team in both total bases and RBIs through the first eight games.
  • Before Clemson, she was the Florida Gatorade Player of the Year in 2021 and was named the SWFL Softball Player of the Year in both 2021 & 2022
