CLEMSON’S NCAA TOURNEY HISTORY• The Tigers are playing in their 46th all-time NCAA Tournament.• The 46 appearances are fifth most in NCAA history, trailing only Texas (63), Florida State (60), Miami (Fla.) CLEMSON REGIONAL RECAP• The Tigers won the Clemson Regional title with a 3-0 record, a victory over High Point (4-3) and two wins over Coastal Carolina (4-3, 12-5).• It was Clemson’s first regional championship since 2010.• Clemson outscored the opposition 20-11 in the three games.• Clemson hit .315 with seven doubles, two homers, a .435 slugging percentage, .412 on-base percentage and a steal.• The pitching staff had a 3.00 ERA, .237 opponents’ batting average and 30 strikeouts against four walks in 27.0 innings pitched.• Clemson committed only three errors, good for a .973 fielding percentage.• The 34,344 fans set a Clemson Regional attendance record despite playing only six games.• Jacob Hinderleider was named Clemson Regional MVP and All-Tournament by going 9-for-15 (.600) with two doubles, three RBIs and three runs.• Tristan Bissetta earned All-Tournament accolades by going 3-for-11 (.273) with two doubles, an RBI and two runs.• Cam Cannarella earned All-Tournament honors by going 4-for-11 (.364) with a homer, five RBIs, two runs and a .438 on-base percentage.• Jack Crighton earned All-Tournament honors by going 6-for-13 (.462) with an RBI and two runs.• Tristan Smith earned All-Tournament honors by allowing just one earned one and no walks with nine strikeouts in 5.1 innings pitched.
