CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Clemson Volleyball team hit .312 to power to a three-set victory (25-20, 25-23, 25-16) on Sunday afternoon against Boston College. The victory moves the Tigers to 14-10 (5-7 ACC) on the season and gives Clemson the weekend road sweep.

Graduate Adria Powell followed with seven kills (.438 hitting percentage), five blocks and one ace for 11 points. As a team, Clemson finished with six aces, contributed by Kennedy Wagner, Mia McGrath, Katie Culumovic, Powell and Taylor.

Behind a .375 hitting percentage, the Tigers cruised to a 25-20 set win. Dailey led Clemson with a .571 hitting percentage and four kills, while Kateryna Tkachenko and Powell added two kills each and hit a minimum of .400 in the first. Two aces in the opening set from McGrath and Powell capped two separate 5-0 scoring runs for the Tigers that aided the set win.

Clemson continued to stay hot offensively, hitting .394 in the second set to take a 2-0 advantage with a 25-23 set win. Dailey led the Tigers for the second-consecutive set with five kills, followed by Kate Simington adding four. The back-and-forth set had neither side going on any runs longer than three points, but Clemson powered through with 16 digs on the defensive side and two blocks. Wagner also picked up two aces to bring her season total to 35.

The Tigers didn’t let up in the third set breezing to a 25-16 set and match victory. Powell and Slavik got things started with a combined block, and kills by Wagner, Tkachenko and Simington kept the Tigers going. Clemson broke things open with back-to-back kills from Dailey before Clemson hit its stride after Powell tallied a solo block, immediately followed by a combined block with Dailey and a service ace by Taylor. Culumovic added another ace for the Tigers to make it 23-13, and Powell sealed the match with her seventh kill as Clemson swept the weekend road trip.
