• Clemson opens the 2023 season hosting the Big Orange Bash in Jervey Gym
• The Tigers welcome Middle Tennessee and Wofford
• The Tigers traveled to Athens, Georgia last weekend for an exhibition match against the Bulldogs

BIG ORANGE BASH

• Clemson welcomes Middle Tennessee and Wofford to Jervey Gym for the Big Orange Bash to open the 2023 slate
• The Tigers will play MTSU on Friday at 7 p.m. to open the 2023 season. Middle Tennessee and Wofford will take to the court on Saturday, Aug. 26 at 2 p.m., before tournament action concludes on Sunday, Aug. 27 between the Tigers and Terriers at 1 p.m.
• Last season, Clemson went 3-0 during the B.O.B. defeating Austin Peay, Louisiana Tech and Presbyterian College – Mckenna Slavik was named the Heather Kahl Holmes Setter of the Tournament, and Mia McGrath earned an All-Tournament nod

NEW FACES

• The 2023 Clemson Tigers features 20 total players – 14 of which are freshmen and sophomores
• 11 players are new to the roster with seven freshmen and four transfers
• Transfers Adria Powell, Katie Culumovic and Katie Hurta transferred to the program in January and spent the spring semester training with the Tigers. Kateryna Tkachenko joined the program to begin the 2023 fall semester
• The seven freshmen joined the program at the end of May and traveled with the Tigers on the 2023 Foreign Tour to Europe

PRESEASON ALL-ACC

• Mckenna Slavik was the lone Tiger selected to the 2023 Preseason All-ACC Team
• Last year, Mckenna was an All-ACC Second Team selection and led the conference with 10.30 assists per set – she was third with 1,102 total assists on the year
• She sits fifth heading into her final season as a Tiger on Clemson’s career list with 3,863 total assists

JERVEY UPGRADES

• Following the 2023 home slate – which ends on Nov. 5 against Louisville – Clemson will begin renovations on Jervey Gym for the 2024 season
• Renovations include raising the roof, as well as a new locker room, lounge and meeting areas for Clemson’s volleyball program, and major improvements to the gameday experience with new access, restrooms and concessions areas
• The renovation phase of the project would re-allocate more than 14,000 square feet of space and also include building a new state-of-the-art performance and wellness center for Clemson’s student-athletes
