CLEMSON, S.C. – The Tigers concluded their 2021 fall practice season with three Orange & Purple Scrimmages at Doug Kingsmore Stadium on Oct 29, Oct. 31 (seven innings) and Nov. 3 (seven innings). Purple won all three contests by scores of 6-2, 7-6 and 8-5.
Freshman David Lewis led the Purple squad to the sweep by going 6-for-11 (.545) with two homers, a triple, double, six RBIs, five runs and two walks. He also hit a three-run, walkoff triple in the final inning of the second scrimmage.
Fellow freshman Camden Troyer went 5-for-12 (.417), while sophomore Cooper Ingle was 3-for-9 (.333) with five walks, as both Tigers also led the Purple team to victory in all three scrimmages.
The Tigers begin the spring practice season in January before hosting their season opener against Indiana on Feb. 18.
