TIGERS TO PLAY IN 46TH ACC TOURNEY• Clemson (33-23), the No. 8 seed, opens its ACC Tournament by playing No. 12 seed Boston College (29-26) on Tuesday at 11 a.m., on RSN.• The Tigers are the designated home team and occupy the third-base dugout on Tuesday.• The Tigers play No. 1 seed Louisville (43-13) on Thursday at 11 a.m., on RSN.• Clemson is the designated visiting team and occupies the first-base dugout on Thursday.• The games are played at Durham (N.C.) Bulls Athletic Park.• It is the 12th time the ACC Baseball Tournament is held in Durham after being held there in 2018.• The 2010 tourney’s format has four three-team pools. CLEMSON’S ACC TOURNAMENT HISTORY• This is the 46th ACC Tournament, and Clemson has been to the finals in 22 of the previous 45 tournaments, eight more than any other school.• Clemson has won an ACC-high 10 ACC Tournament titles in history, including 2016, when it beat Florida State 18-13 in the title game.• Clemson’s 10 ACC Tournament titles came in 1976, 1978, 1980, 1981, 1989, 1991, 1993, 1994, 2006 and 2016.• Clemson has a 112-71 record (.612) in ACC Tournament games. The Tigers have the second-most All-ACC Tournament selections (63) in history.• Clemson is one of only two teams to play in all 46 ACC Tournaments. The Tigers join Virginia as the only teams to play in every ACC Tourney.• Only Florida State (66.7) has a better winning percentage than Clemson (61.2) in ACC Tournament play (minimum 10 games).• Clemson’s 112 ACC Tournament wins are 27 more than any other team (NC State, 85).• The ACC Tournament began in 1973 and has been held every year but one (1979) since then.
SIX TIGERS NAMED TO ALL-ACC TEAM• Grayson Byrd (OF) earned First-Team All-ACC honors. It was the second time Byrd was named All-ACC.• Logan Davidson (SS) and Davis Sharpe (SP) were Second-Team All-ACC selections. It was Davidson’s second career All-ACC honor.• Mat Clark (SP), Carson Spiers (RP) and Kyle Wilkie (C) were Third-Team All-ACC picks. It was Wilkie’s second career All-ACC honor.• Clemson’s six All-ACC selections tied for most in the league with Florida State, Georgia Tech and Louisville.• Davis Sharpe (SP/DH) earned All-ACC Freshman honors.
