#15 Clemson Defeats Boston College 7-0

DEDHAM, MA—#15 Clemson defeated Boston College 7-0 in an Atlantic Coast Conference men’s tennis match at Dedham, MA Sunday night.  With the win, Clemson improves to 14-3 overall and 3-1 in the ACC.   Boston College falls to 5-7 overall and 0-2 in league play.    The Tigers are ranked 15th nationally according to the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) poll. Clemson won the doubles point behind the 11th-ranked doubles team of Yannick Maden and Dominique Maden’s victory over Boston College’s Philip Nelson and Michael McGinnis 8-4 at number-one doubles.      Yannick Maden won at number-one singles over Nelson in straight sets 6-3, 6-3.   Maden is now 21-4 overall and 15-1 in dual match play.    He also undefeated in the ACC with a 4-0 record.  Clemson’s Hunter Harrington won at number-two singles with a victory over Michael McGinnis 6-1, 6-4.     Harrington is now 16-6 overall, and 12-3 in dual matches.      The Tigers will play host to two ACC opponents in Clemson’s next action.   On Friday, April 5, Clemson will meet Duke and on Sunday, April 7, the Tigers will face North Carolina at the Hoke Sloan Tennis Center on the Tigers’ campus.   Clemson 7, Boston College 0Doubles1.
