WBB Hoops Central: Clemson vs #14 Georgia Tech

In accordance with Clemson University’s announcement on Jan. 3, face masks are now REQUIRED inside all University buildings statewide for all persons until further notice, unless actively eating or drinking. This requirement applies to all individuals within Littlejohn Coliseum at basketball games until this protocol is lifted by Clemson University.

PREVIEW

  • The Clemson Tigers return to Littlejohn Coliseum on Sunday evening to face #14 Georgia Tech. Tipoff is set for 6:00 p.m. and will air on ACC Network.
  • The Tigers are looking to bounce back from a 78-73 loss in overtime against Pitt on Thursday.
  • Georgia Tech is coming off a 68-49 win over BC on Sunday.
  • This marks the 90th meeting all-time, with Clemson holding the 45-44 advantage.

GAMEDAY OPERATIONS

  • If you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, please stay home.
  • Parking lots will open two hours before tipoff.
  • The seating bowls will be at 100% capacity.
  • The clear bag policy is in effect. Fans are reminded to keep phones and keys in their pockets, as they proceed through the metal detectors.
  • For the general public, face coverings are required in all areas of Littlejohn Coliseum.
  • Fans should be considerate of others and utilize proper cheering etiquette. Screaming, hugging, and high-fiving may not be welcomed physical interactions amongst strangers this season. Guests should be aware of their surroundings and the safety of others.

Clemson Athletics is set to celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day (NGWSD) with a series of recognitions and events beginning this Sunday. Clemson will host a free clinic for kids 12 and under at Littlejohn Coliseum beginning at 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 30, prior to the women’s basketball team’s game against nationally ranked Georgia Tech.

The clinic will include several student-athletes from Clemson’s women’s programs on the concourse, and offer a series of skill-based challenges. Doors at Littlejohn Coliseum open at 5 p.m. ahead of the 6 p.m. game, which is free. Per current university protocols, masks are required within Littlejohn Coliseum.
