CLEMSON, S.C. – Senior Teodor Giusca and Sophomore Ryuhei Azuma were named the ACC Doubles Team of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday. This is the first weekly honor for the Tigers this season.
The No. 45 doubles team saw great success on Saturday against Charlotte and Coastal Carolina. Giusca and Azuma started the weekend off strong with a 6-4 win over Charlotte’s No. 16 pair in Savva and Simon. Just a few hours later, the Tiger duo recorded another 6-4 win over Coastal Carolina’s Federico and Giraldo to propel Clemson to a 4-3 victory over the Chanticleers.
Up next, the Tigers will hit the road to take on Louisville on Friday, March 4 at 5:00 p.m. and Notre Dame on Sunday, March 6 at 12:00 p.m.
