Clemson, S.C. – For the first time in program history, the Clemson Tigers lacrosse team is ranked. The USA Lacrosse Magazine Media Poll has Clemson ranked No. 14, while the IWLCA Coaches poll ranked Clemson No. 24.
Clemson earned their ranking after taking down the previously ranked No. 13 ranked Duke 11-10 on Saturday, March 11 at Historic Riggs Field.
The Atlantic Coast Conference is home to the most number of teams in the top 25 than any other conference in the nation with seven total teams. In the IWLCA poll, Clemson joins No. 1 North Carolina, No. 2 Syracuse, No. 4 Boston College, No. 10 Virginia, No. 12 Notre Dame and No. 15 Duke. In the USA Lacrosse poll, Clemson is ranked above Duke, with Clemson being ranked No. 14 and Duke being ranked No. 15.
The Tigers are set to play another top-ranked ACC opponent Thursday, March 16 as they face the No. 4 Boston College Eagles at Historic Riggs Field at 4 p.m.
