CLEMSON, S.C. – The Atlantic Coast Conference released its weekly performance awards Tuesday afternoon with Clemson’s Shantae Foreman and Nancy Cherop each securing honors for their efforts at the Orange & Purple Invitational.
Shantae Foreman | Women’s Field Performer of the Week
Foreman won the women’s triple jump with a record-breaking 14.17m / 46′ – 06.00″. The mark not only reset Clemson’s school record but it also ranks first nationally, 14th in all-time NCAA history and is second all-time in ACC history. This is Foreman’s second ACC Women’s Field Performer of the Week this season with the previous occurring on Jan. 13.
Nancy Cherop | Women’s Rookie Performer of the Week
In her first-ever race on an indoor track, Cherop placed fourth in the women’s mile invite with a time of 4:32.92. This time puts her third on Clemson’s all-time top 10 list and ninth nationally.
