Five Tigers Named All-ACC; Gyan Earns Midfielder of the Year Honors

Clemson, S.C. – Five members of Clemson United have been named to the All-ACC team, it was announced on Wednesday by the conference office. Voting was conducted by the league’s head coaches. Sophomore midfielder Ransford Gyan was named the league’s Midfielder of the Year.

First Team All-ACC

Gyan earned his second-consecutive All-ACC nod after picking up second-team and all-freshman team honors in 2024. The Sunyani, Ghana, native leads the Tigers in points (24), shots (48), goals (8), and is tied for first in assists (8) this season. Gyan’s Midfielder of the Year honor is Clemson’s second-straight athlete to receive the award since Joran Gerbet in 2024 and just the third in program history.

Second Team All-ACC

Wahabu Musah earned his second-straight all-ACC team after earning all-freshman team honors in 2024. Musah recorded six goals and 12 points thus far in his sophomore season. Joining Musah, is senior Nathan Richmond with all-team honors after earning third-team honors in 2023. The Atlanta, Ga., native, is second on the team in goals (7), points (19) and shots (38). 

Third Team All-ACC

Misei Yoshizawa earned his second All-ACC nod after picking up all-freshman team honors in 2022 at Virginia Tech. The Tokyo, Japan, native is tied for third on the team in goals (6) and assists (4). Yoshizawa netted his first two career braces earlier this season vs Duke and UNCW and scored a career high six goals for the season. Freshman midfielder Kwaku Agyabeng earned his first career all-team honors. Agyabeng started 14 of the Tigers 15 matches this season with his first career goal coming vs the Tigers 3-0 win over Duke.

All-Freshman Team

Agyabeng collected the honors during his freshman campaign earning all-freshman honors along with his third-team honors. Agyabeng was named No. 6 on the Top Drawer Soccer Midseason Top 100 Freshmen list. The Kumasi, Ghana native is the fourth-straight Tiger to earn all-freshman team honors and 21st in program history.
