Clemson, S.C., Nov. 10, 2025 – Clemson women’s basketball (2-0) heads down to Columbia, S.C., for a matchup with the No. 2/2 South Carolina Gamecocks (2-0) as part of the Palmetto Series presented by the South Carolina Education Lottery Palmetto Series at Colonial Life Arena. Tipoff is slated for 6 p.m. The game will stream live on ESPN2 and air on the Clemson Athletic Network.
SETTING THE STAGE
Clemson is off to a 2-0 start in back-to-back seasons under head coach Shawn Poppie, and is looking to start 3-0 for the second straight year. South Carolina started its season with victories against Grand Canyon and Bowling Green.
THE CLEMSON-SOUTH CAROLINA SERIES
Clemson trails South Carolina 37–32 in the all-time series, with the Gamecocks currently riding a 14-game winning streak (2010-11 season). The series’ history spans back to the 1975-76 season. In their last clash, Clemson fell to South Carolina, 77–45 (Nov. 20, 2024), and head coach Shawn Poppie is 0–1 against the Gamecocks.

Senior guard Mia Moore recorded her 14th career double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds, leading Clemson to a 72–51 win over Mercer. Rachael Rose added 16 points on 7-of-10 shooting in her 99th career start, while Hannah Kohn and Taylor Johnson-Matthews combined for seven of the Tigers’ 10 three-pointers. Hadley Periman also grabbed a season-best 10 rebounds, marking her 18th career game with double-figure boards.
RACHAEL ROSE NAMED TO NANCY LIEBERMAN PGOTY PRESEASON WATCH LIST
Senior guard Rachael Rose is 1-of-20 players (1-of-6 in the ACC) named to the 2026 Nancy Lieberman Point Guard of the Year Preseason watch list, announced by Hoophall & the WBCA. The Nancy Lieberman Award recognizes the top point guard in women’s NCAA Division I college basketball. To be considered for this prestigious award, candidates must exhibit the floor leadership, playmaking, and ball-handling skills of Class of 1996 Hall-of-Famer Nancy Lieberman.
