CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson Volleyball program landed seven student-athletes on the 2025 All-ACC Academic Team, the conference office announced Wednesday. Junior libero McKenna Gildon led the way as a three-year honoree, while Kate Hansen, Claire Luoma, Mia McGrath and Katherine Sandt received the honor for the second time in their Tiger careers. Khaya Gordon and Nil Okur rounded out the Tigers’ selections, making their All-ACC Academic Team debuts.
Minimum academic requirements for selections to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0-grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one’s academic career. New in 2025-26, recipients must be working towards their undergraduate degree. Athletic achievements during the most recent are also considered in selecting the team.
Gildon (Plano, Texas) concluded her junior campaign as the starting libero with a team-high 455 digs (3.92 per set). She added 18 aces and contributed 141 assists while working towards her degree in communications. She was joined in the back row by Luoma (Franklin, Wis.), who added. 209 total digs as a sophomore and 23 aces while pursing the pre-business route.
Additional two-time honorees include 2025 starters Hansen (Weatherford, Texas), McGrath (Deerfield, Ill.) and Sandt (Western Springs, Ill.). Hansen finished her the year with 242 kills, 86 blocks and 17 aces while working towards a degree in sociology. McGrath, who is getting a degree in sports communications, rounded out her Clemson career in 2025 with a team-high 336 kills and added her name to the 1,000-career point mark. Sandt concluded her redshirt sophomore season as the starting setter that contributed 1,098 assists and a team-high 31 aces while working towards a degree in accounting.
The final two selections made the debuts on the All-ACC Academic list in their first year as Tigers. Gordon (Belize City, Belize) put up 98 kills and 15 blocks in her first fall pursing a degree in sociology. Okur (Istanbul, Turkiye) finished her collegiate career as a Tiger with a team-high 90 blocks and 135 kills and will finish up her degree in economics this spring.
In total, 37 Tigers have garnered 65 selections since the award began in 2005. Gildon, Luoma, Hansen and Sandt were also named as College Sports Communicator Academic All-District sections in December.
