Lawrence, Kan. – Clemson Women’s Tennis (6-1) grabbed a 4-1 victory Sunday afternoon over Kansas (3-1) to earn Head Coach Boomer Saia his 100th career victory.
Sophomores Talia Neilson-Gatenby and Artemis Aslanisvili opened up doubles with a 6-2 win on court three, and Gaia Parravicini and Romana Cisovska combined to clinch the point with a 6-3 win on court two.
In singles, four Tigers raced out to first-set victories, with Neilson-Gatenby finishing first on court five with a 6-3, 6-0 win. Cisovska finished minutes later on court two with a 6-2, 6-2 victory to put Clemson ahead 3-1. Freshman Rinon Okuwaki improved her undefeated singles streak to seven with her 6-2, 6-2 win on court three to clinch match point for Clemson.
