Freshman baseball player Kyle Parker and the Clemson women’s track and field shuttle hurdle relay team were named Vickery Hall’s Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of April 28, 2008.

| Favorite Professor: | Angela Billings | Athletic Highlight: | The Lady Tigers entered the Penn Relays last weekend with a great chance of breaking the school record in the shuttle hurdle relay, which was a 56.29 set during the 2005 season. The team of Barringer, Mamona, Golladay and Hardy placed fourth overall in the event held at Franklin Field. Their impressive time of 56.35 was just 0.06 seconds from the school record and ranks second in Clemson history in the event. | |

| Athletic Highlight: | Parker was named ACC Player of the Week after helping Clemson complete a series sweep in conference play against Virginia Tech. It was the first career weekly league honor for Parker and the first for the Tigers this season. The freshman went 5-for-10 with five runs scored, two doubles, three home runs, 11 RBIs and three walks to help lead Clemson to a three-game sweep of the Hokies. He posted a 1.600 slugging percentage and a .615 on-base percentage in the series. |
