CLEMSON, S.C. – Clemson’s track & field returns to action this Saturday, Jan. 10 to host the Clemson Invitational, set to compete against six other schools including Georgia and Tennessee.

The men’s pole vault, high jump and shot put will kickstart the meet at 10 a.m. Track events will begin at 11:20 a.m. with the women’s 5,000m run. The men’s and women’s triple jumps and the women’s weight throw will be the final field events starting at 4 p.m. The men’s 4x400m relay will conclude the meet at 5:10 p.m.

Clemson Opener (Dec. 5, 2025) Recap

  • The Tigers concluded the Clemson Opener with 17 personal records, eight performances that made various Clemson all-time top 10 lists, 31 top three finishes and eight wins.
  • Freshman Kimeka Smith won the women’s shot put with a throw of 15.06m / 49’–05.00”.
    • Her mark placed her seventh on Clemson’s women’s indoor shot put all-time list and set a new freshman record in the event, previously held by Olympian and Clemson Hall of Famer Jamine Moton.
    • Smith earned ACC Freshman of the Week following her performance.
  • Grant Holliday recorded a fourth-place finish in the men’s 300m (32.86 seconds), the second-fastest performance in program history.
  • In the women’s 300m, five of the eight competitors set personal records.
    • Shanque Williams (third place, 37.67 seconds, now third all-time on Clemson’s indoor women’s 300m all-time top 10 list)
    • Aniyah Kitt (fifth place, 37.92 seconds)
    • Shantae Foreman (sixth place, 37.99 seconds, now eighth all-time on Clemson’s indoor women’s 300m all-time top 10 list)
    • Sade Gray (seventh place, 38.37 seconds, now ninth all-time on Clemson’s indoor women’s 300m all-time top 10 list)
    • Oneka Wilson (13th place, 40.02 seconds).
  • Matthew Auble won the men’s weight throw with a distance of 21.43m / 70’–03.75” (PR, second on the Clemson men’s indoor weight throw top 10 list, Auble already had the second spot, improving from 21.07m).

Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener (Dec. 6, 2025) Recap

  • Silvia Jelelgo set a new school record in the women’s 5,000m.
    • Her time of 15:16.57 shattered the previous record of 16:01.24, set by Kim Ruck at the 2010 NCAA Indoor Championships.
