CLEMSON, S.C. — Clemson’s annual Bob Pollock Invitational Track Meet opened up competition on Friday, with many Tigers setting new personal bests and climbing up the all-time school leaderboards as the season begins to wind down towards ACC Championships.

FRIDAY HIGHLIGHTS

  • Dashinelle Dyer set a PR and climbed into the top-10 list in the 60m dash. His time of 6.65 seconds is the best of his career and is tied for the eighth fastest mark in Clemson history.
  • Alison D’Alessandro again launched herself to new heights, clearing 3.96m in the pole vault, good for her third PR of the season and fourth in Clemson history.
  • Shantae Foreman made her Clemson long jump debut in style, tying the school’s sixth-best mark with a 6.24m leap.
  • Both Ken’naria Gadson and Mackenzie Osher set PR’s in the 400m dash, while Kenya Thompson’s 400m time of 55.93 was the best mark set by a Tiger in the event today.
  • Antoinette Van der Merwe set a season best 8.42 in the 60mH after advancing to the finals of the event. Lafranz Campbell and Giano Roberts also each survived prelims and semis to advance to the finals, where they ran 7.72 and 7.74, respectively.
