Tigers Close Triple-Meet Weekend Highlighted by a School Record and Multiple Top 10 Marks

CLEMSON, S.C. – Clemson Track & Field closed out a packed weekend across three meets with multiple all‑time performances, highlighted by a school record and several top‑10 marks. The headliner came on day one of the Tiger Paw Invitational, where Grant Holliday broke his own school record in the men’s 400m, clocking a PR 45.49 seconds. At the Don Kirby Elite, the Tigers’ sprint crew delivered strong 200m outings, with Jalen Johnson (20.59 seconds) and Ian Johnson (20.69 seconds) posting PRs that now rank second and fifth on Clemson’s all‑time list. On the women’s side, Aniyah Kitt added another top‑10 mark with a 23.12 PR in the 200m, tying for sixth in school history.

The distance squad shined at the ASICS Sound Invitational, producing three all‑time top‑10 performances. Elizabeth Ilanda (9:11.79) and Emily Lamontagne (9:15.20) ran the second and third fastest 3000m times in Clemson history, respectively. Nancy Cherop continued her historic season with a 15:21.11 in the 5000m invitational, which also ranks second on the program’s all‑time list. Back at the Tiger Paw, the women’s mile group added two more top‑10 marks as Madelyn Dinneen ran 4:43.26 to tie for eighth all‑time, followed closely by Madison Timms’ 4:44.49 PR.

In the field events, Clemson added another all‑time mark as Kimeka Smith threw a PR 16.29m in the women’s shot put invitational, moving to fourth on Clemson’s all‑time list. Matthew Phillips delivered a strong PR in the men’s pole vault at 4.95m, while Shantae Foreman continued her consistent excellence with a 13.61m runner‑up finish in the triple jump invitational. The Tigers also collected top‑three finishes from Kendra Dye in the women’s weight throw (21.12m) and Divine Aniamaka in the men’s triple jump (15.87m).
