CLEMSON, S.C. – The Atlantic Coast Conference released its weekly tennis awards Tuesday afternoon with Clemson’s Viktor Markov being named ACC Player of the Week for his performances at the ITA Kickoff Weekend.
This marks Markov’s first ACC Player of the Week award and his second ACC weekly award overall, following his ACC Freshman of the Week recognition on March 18, 2025.
Against No. 14 South Carolina, Markov and Henrik Bladelius delivered the first of Clemson’s two doubles victories with a 6-3 win over No. 31 Daryabeigi and Stenzer. Markov later added a straight‑set win in the top singles spot, defeating No. 80 da Silva 6-1, 7-6(5).
In similar fashion during the ITA Kickoff Weekend Championship against Harvard, Markov and Bladelius again secured the opening doubles win for Clemson, posting another 6-3 result, this time over Perera and Thornton. Markov followed with a commanding 6-4, 6-1 victory over No. 109 Privara at the No. 1 singles position.
