Gyan Named United Soccer Coaches First Team All-American

CLEMSON, S.C. – For the first time in his career, Ransford Gyan earned All-America honors, it was announced today by the United Soccer Coaches organization. The Sunyani, Ghana, native earned a spot on the First Team, as voted on by the organization.

Gyan is the 39th Tiger in program history (46th total) to earn All-America honors. Last season,  MAC Hermann Trophy semifinalist Joran Gerbet also earned All-America honors.

The sophomore adds to his many recognitions this season, already having been named the ACC’s Midfielder of the Year, an All-ACC First Team performer and a two-time ACC Offensive Player of the Week. Earlier this week, he was named First-Team All-South Region and a MAC Hermann Trophy semifinalist.

Gyan was named the ACC Midfielder of the Year after finishing first on the team in points (24), with eight goals and eight assists. He was named First Team All-ACC and the No. 3 player on the TopDrawer Soccer Midseason Top 100 list. He was also named ACC Offensive Player of the Week on September 2 and September 9 after netting four goals with three assists in Clemson’s wins over UAB then-No. 10 Pitt.

This year’s All-Americans will be recognized for their accomplishments at the United Soccer Coaches All-America Ceremony & Reception on Saturday, January, 17, 2026 in Philadelphia, Pa., in conjunction with the United Soccer Coaches Convention.
