CLEMSON, S.C. – Clemson (1-1-2) will stay home to face Appalachian State (3-1-0) tomorrow, August 31 at 7 p.m. The match’s theme is National South Carolina Day where the first 500 fans will receive a cup that says Clemson women’s soccer cup on one side and has a palmetto tree on the other. This Season’s Quick Kicks

  • Last time out, the Tigers fought hard to draw No.12 South Carolina, 0-0.
  • Freshman Juju Harris holds a team-leading three points (one goal and one assist).
  • Renee Lyles netted her first goal of the season (18th in her career) in the Tigers’ season opener against Ohio State after missing all of the 2024-25 season due to injury.
  • Freshman Neely Kerr leads the team with two assists on the year (one against Ohio State and the other, Ohio University).
  • Mackenzie Duff is the only non-goalkeeper to have played every minute for the Tigers this season.
  • Five Tigers played a full 90 minutes against South Carolina, Kerr, Emily Brough, Duff, Lyles and goalkeeper Addy Holgorsen.
  • Holgorsen (1-1-1 in goal) opened the season with 10 saves, one goal allowed (0.909 save percentage) and one shutout between the Ohio State and Ohio University matches. Following the South Carolina match, she now has 14 total saves on the season.
  • In the first half of matches this year, Clemson leads in goals (2-1), shots (20-15) and corner opportunities (11-10) while also committing less fouls (13-15) in comparison to its opponents.
  • The defense has limited opponents to only one shot on goal out of 15 total shots taken in the first half of matches.
