CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson men’s tennis team will take on Wake Forest on Friday, Apr. 4 at the Leighton Tennis Stadium in Winston-Salem, NC. The match is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m.

The Tigers are 19-8 overall and 3-1 in the ACC, with conference wins over NC State, Florida State and North Carolina. Most recently Clemson dropped a 4-3 decision to Duke, while defeating North Carolina by a score of 5-2.

In singles, Sophomore Sander Koning leads the Tigers in wins with a 23-7 overall record. Freshman Jarmaine Jenkins has posted a 22-5 overall record and a 4-0 record in ACC play, while junior Damiisa Robinson has a 22-6 overall record and a 21-5 record in dual matches.

In doubles, Nathan Thompson and Jenkins leads the team with a 19-7 overall record. The duo has posted conference wins over NC State and North Carolina.

Clemson holds a 39-14 all-time advantage over the Demon Deacons. In Winston-Salem, the Tigers boast a 16-7 all-time record. The two teams last met in 2002, as Clemson fell to Wake Forest by a score of 4-1. The Demon Deacons are 9-6 overall and 2-3 in ACC action this season, after upsetting then-14th-ranked Georgia Tech by a score of 4-3 in Atlanta, GA on Mar. 30. Wake Forest will play host to North Carolina today before facing the Tigers on Friday.
