Clemson athletics and IPTAY’s Block C Club are inducting 10 members into the Clemson Athletic Hall of Fame class of 2025. The 10 former Tiger greats will be introduced and honored during tonight’s game against Florida State at Memorial Stadium.
TIM BOURRETSports Information Department • 1978-18• Worked in the Clemson sports information department for 40 years, from 1978-89 as assistant director under Bob Bradley and from July 1989 to July 2018 as director.• Inducted into the National College Sports Information Directors Hall of Fame in 2017.• Received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the College Sports Information Directors Association in 2019.• Received the Bobby Richardson Award from the state of South Carolina Athletic Hall of Fame in 2018.• Clemson won the “Super 11” award from the Football Writers Association as one of the top-11 football SID offices in the nation five times under his leadership.• Edited over 100 Clemson award-winning publications, including 37 that covered Clemson football.• Served on ESPN’s committee in conjunction with the 150-year anniversary of college football.• In his 47th year broadcasting Clemson men’s basketball games, as he is the dean of broadcasters in any sport in the ACC. He is also in his 13th year as a color commentator for Clemson football games.• Named an honorary alumnus of Clemson in 2007.• Author of four books about Clemson football, including “The Vault” and “2016 National Champions.”
OSWALD DRAWDYGolf • 1986-90• Three-time Academic Scholar recipient from College Golf Foundation, one of just two three-time selections in Clemson history.• All-ACC selection in 1988 and 1990.• Starter on three top-20 teams, including the 1989 team that finished No. 3 in the nation.• Member of three ACC championship teams. He finished in the top 25 three times at ACC Championships.• Honorable mention All-American in the 1988 and 1989 seasons, and he was a third-team All-American in 1990.• One of only four Tigers in history to be named an honorable mention All-American and an Academic Scholar by the College Golf Foundation.• Is 12th in Clemson history in career top-10 finishes (18).• Had 97 rounds at 75 or better, 15th in program history.• Played in the 1993 U.S. Open at Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfield, N.J.
NATOYA GOULETrack • 2013-15• Competed one season at Clemson, becoming the national champion in the 800m at the 2015 NCAA Indoor Championships meet with a time of 2:01.64. It was an NCAA Indoor Championships record and ACC record.• It was her third career national championship, as she had won two at LSU before transferring to Clemson to follow Mark Elliott.• Helped Clemson to a sweep of the ACC Outdoor and Indoor Championships in 2015.• Two-time individual ACC champion, including 2015 in the 4x400m indoors and 2015 in the 800m outdoors.• Led Clemson to a 12th-place finish at the 2015 NCAA Indoor Championships.• Named ACC Indoor Track Athlete-of-the-Year in the 2015 season.• Won the 800m at the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru.• Competed for Jamaica in the Olympics in 2016, 2021 and 2024. She finished eighth in the 800m at the 2021 Olympics.
DONNIE HECKELWrestling • 1987-91• ACC Wrestler-of-the-Year in 1991.• Two-time All-American (1989,91).• ACC champion in 1988 and 1991 at the 118-pound class.• Four-time participant in the NCAA Tournament.• Three-time team MVP.• ACC runner-up in the 118-pound class in 1989 and 1990.• Reached the Elite Eight at the NCAA Tournament in 1989.• Finished his career with 101 wins, fourth most by a Tiger.
DeANDRE HOPKINSFootball • 2010-12• Finished his 39-game Clemson career with 206 receptions (fourth in Clemson history) for 3,020 yards (second in Tiger history) and 27 touchdowns (tied for first in Clemson history).• Had 82 receptions for 1,405 yards and an ACC-record 18 receiving touchdowns in 2012, earning him First-Team All-ACC honors, a second-team All-America selection by Athlon, CBS Sports, Lindy’s, Phil Steele and Scout and a third-team All-America selection by AP.• One of 10 semifinalists for the Biletnikoff Award in 2012.• Had 12 career 100-yard receiving games, second in Clemson history.• In 2011, he helped lead Clemson to its first ACC championship since 1991.• First-round draft selection of the Houston Texans in 2013 and was named to the NFL All-Rookie team in the 2013 season.• Five-time Pro Bowl and All-Pro selection.• Rated among the top-100 players in the NFL seven times, including No. 8 rankings in 2020 and 2021.• He is 17th in NFL history in receptions (994), 19th in receiving yards (13,157) and tied for 19th in receiving touchdowns (85).
DOV KREMERCross Country • 1987-89• 1988 ACC champion in cross country.• All-ACC in 1987, 1988 and 1989 in cross country.• All-district selection in 1987 and 1988 in cross country.• All-American in 1987 and 1988 in cross country.• Helped Clemson to two ACC championships in cross country.• Helped Clemson to a 15th-place national finish in outdoor track in 1988, then an eighth-place finish in indoor track in 1989.• All-ACC indoors in the mile and 3000m in 1989.• Third on Clemson’s all-time list in the 5000m indoors.• Indoor track All-American in the 5000m in 1989, when he finished sixth at the NCAA meet with a time of 14:23.35.• Two-time outdoor track All-American, as he finished second at the NCAA meet in the 5000m in 1988, then finished fifth in the same event in 1989.• 1988 ACC champion in the 1500m outdoors with a time of 3:44.36.• CoSIDA Academic All-American.• Received an ACC Weaver-James-Corrigan Postgraduate Scholarship.
CHESTER McGLOCKTONFootball • 1988-91• Inducted into the state of South Carolina Athletic Hall of Fame in 2011, state of South Carolina Football Hall of Fame in 2021 and state of North Carolina Athletic Hall of Fame in 2025.• Led the ACC in sacks (7) as a freshman even though he was not a starter.• Had a sack, caused fumble and recovered fumble for a touchdown to clinch the Gator Bowl win over West Virginia in 1989.• Finished his career with 151 tackles, 39 tackles for loss, 20.5 sacks, eight caused fumbles and three recovered fumbles.• A starter on the 1990 team that led the nation in total defense, the first Tiger team to finish first. He was also a starter on the 1991 defense that led the nation in rushing defense.• His eight career caused fumbles are tied for third in Clemson history.• First-Team All-ACC selection in 1991, when he had 62 tackles, 18 tackles for loss and seven sacks.• First-round NFL draft pick (No. 15 overall) of the Raiders in 1992.• Played 12 years (1992-03) in the NFL.• Four-time Pro Bowl pick and three-time All-Pro pick.
JENNIFER MIHALIKSwimming • 1996-98• Honorable mention All-American in the 200 backstroke in 1998.• ACC champion in the 100 backstroke (1999) and 200 backstroke (1998,99).• Member of Clemson’s Academic Hall of Fame (1999).• Graduated with a degree in microbiology in only three years, registering a 3.89 GPA.• Member of the ACC 50-Year Anniversary Team.• CoSIDA Academic All-American (1999).• Olympic Trial qualifier in the 100 freestyle, 100 backstroke and 200 backstroke.• In Clemson’s all-time top 10 in six events (50 freestyle, 100 backstroke, 100 freestyle, 200 backstroke, 200 freestyle, 400 freestyle relay).• Received a Weaver-James-Corrigan Postgraduate Scholarship and an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship.• Helped the Tigers to their fourth ACC title in 1997, placing second in the 200 backstroke, second in the 100 backstroke and ninth in the 50 freestyle, and was a member of the 200, 400 and 800 freestyle relays and 200 medley relay.
STEWART RALPHTrack & Field • 1975-78• A three-time All-American in javelin, as he became the first African-American track athlete in Clemson history to earn All-America honors in 1976.• Three-time ACC champion, as he won in 1975 (as a freshman), 1976 and 1978.• His throw of 81.2m in winning the 1976 ACC championship was a career long and the second longest in Clemson history at that weight category.• Only Tiger to compete in the javelin at four different NCAA Championships (1975-78).• Second Clemson track & field athlete in any event to be a three-time All-American.• Three-time All-American in the javelin, one of two Tigers to do that in the javelin (Roger Collins).• Third at the 1976 NCAA Championships with a 73.6m throw.• Finished third again in 1977 with a throw of 78.33m. The champion that year was just 0.38m longer.• Finished a career-high second place in 1978 at the NCAA Championships with a throw of 80.26m.• AAU All-American in 1978.
SOPHIE WOORONSTennis • 1996• Played one season for the Tigers, earning ACC Player-of-the-Year honors in 1996,• Singles and doubles All-American in 1996, the first player in program history to be an All-American in singles and doubles in the same year and the only one to do it during the first 26 years of the program.• Compiled a 31-11 singles record and 28-11 doubles record in 1996.• Team MVP in 1996.• Reached the Final Four of the NCAA Singles Championship after winning four matches in the tournament. She was the second player in program history to reach the Final Four of the NCAA Singles Championship.• Helped Clemson to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament in 1996.• ACC No. 1 singles flight champion in 1996.• Finished 1996 No. 8 in singles and doubles.
