CLEMSON, S.C. – The ACC announced on Wednesday afternoon that sophomore rower Elizabeth Mueller was named to the 2025 Preseason ACC Rowing Watchlist. The full ACC press release can be found here.
The list consists of one student-athlete from each program, nominated by their respective schools. The ACC is the only conference with a preseason rowing watch list.
“[Mueller] has made phenomenal progress this year,” said Head Rowing Coach Adrienne Martelli, “After learning how to row last year and making the 4 for ACCs, she’s been a great leader for the team through her positive attitude and work ethic. She’s consistently one of the top athletes on the erg and great racer.”
An All-ACC Academic Team honoree and a member of the 1V4+ during her freshman season, Mueller is looking to continue her early success on the water with her boats being among the more successful ones during the 2024 campaign. Her boats placed first at the Secret City Head Race, the Cardinal Invite, the Big 10 Invite and earned spots in the grand finals for 1V4+ at the Doc Hosea Invite and the ACC Championship. During the fall she was additionally named a captain for the 2025 squad.
Aside from her All-ACC Academic Team honor, this is the first conference honor the Kentucky native has been awarded. This is Mueller’s second preseason award as she, freshman Izzy Greving and senior Gabby Babin were all named to the For Stars Network Spring Watchlist.
Clemson continues the spring slate with a scrimmage against Indiana and Iowa on Saturday, March 22.
