A GAME OF NUMBERS

  • Friday’s series opener against NC State marked Head Coach John Rittman’s 1,400 game at the helm of a college softball program.
  • Rittman eclipsed a 971-426-3 record during that stretch, including 221-75 as the Clemson head coach – currently sits with a 974-426-3 record (224-75 at Clemson).
  • Clemson will reach 300 games in program history in the opening game of the Boston College series on April 17.
  • The softball program placed itself in a position to have one of the best records through the first 200 games amongst Clemson sports (155 wins, 45 losses – .775) – the 155 wins was the most by a program through 200 games at Clemson.
  • This comes after the Tigers paced themselves to tie with women’s tennis for the most wins through 100 games (78 wins, 22 losses – .780).
  • The softball program once again paced itself to have one of the best records at Clemson through 300 games holding a 224-75 (.749).
