Women’s Soccer Unveils 2020 Slate

Clemson, S.C. – Clemson head women’s soccer coach Eddie Radwanski along with the Atlantic Coast Conference unveiled the 2020 schedule on Friday morning. The nine games against nine ACC opponents will kick off on Sept. 12 as the Tigers face the Miami Hurricanes in a neutral site, non-conference match in Jacksonville, Fla.

Of the nine games, four will be held at Historic Riggs Field with the first two home competitions being set for Sept. 17 and 20 against Virginia Tech and Virginia, respectively. Similar to the 2019 season, the Tigers will then take a ride up north as they open up the month of October against North Carolina and Duke.  

Clemson will alternate the final four regular season games between home and away with the Demon Deacons heading to Tigertown before a brief trip to South Bend, Ind. for a match against Notre Dame. The Tigers will host Pitt for their final home match before closing out the regular season slate with Florida State. 

The fall season will wrap up with the ACC Tournament at the WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, N.C.. Quarterfinal action will begin on Nov. 10 with the semifinals and championship game being played on Nov. 13 and 15, respectively.

All matches are subject to change and information will be released as it becomes available on clemsontigers.com. Television coverage will be announced once finalized by providers. 

Historic Riggs Field Social Distancing & Operations

Historic Riggs Field will have a unique feel during the 2020 season and we ask that all fans please adhere to the following safety protocols put in place to ensure the well-being of all fans and participants.

  • Please refrain from coming to any Clemson sporting events if you feel sick or are experiencing symptoms of the coronavirus.
  • A maximum capacity of 1,000 spectators will be strictly enforced. Patrons must wear a face covering at all times unless eating or drinking. 
  • There will be no formal ticketing for the 2020 season. All seating is on a first come, first served basis. All points of entry to Historic Riggs Field will be available.
  • Seats will be available in pods of four with a six-foot radius around each pod. Please refrain from sitting in groups larger than four.
  • The first three rows of seats have been blocked off to ensure safety for fans and participants. Please do not sit, or attempt to enter, this area of the stands.
  • Drinks and pre-packaged snacks will be available at the outdoor concession stand.
  • Restrooms will be available for all fans.
  • Hand sanitizers will be strategically placed around the facility to help encourage sanitizing.
  • There will be no access to the field permitted prior to, during and after any match.
