CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson women’s cross country team will hold the 10th Annual 2002 Clemson Cross Country Invitational and South Carolina State Championship this Saturday on the campus of Clemson University. The Lady Tigers finished second at last year’s South Carolina State Championships, and will compete against College of Charleston, South Carolina and South Carolina State for the 2002 state title. Teams from Alabama, Charlotte, Georgia and Western Carolina will also compete in the Clemson Invitational.
The women’s collegiate 6K race is scheduled for 9:30 AM at Jervey Meadows behind the Jervey Athletic Center, following the men’s collegiate 8K race. The high school varsity boys race is slated for 10:30 AM, followed by the high school varsity girls race at 11:00 AM. The high school junior varsity boys take to the course at 11:30 AM, then the high school junior varsity girls race concludes the meet at 12:00 PM.
