Women’s Cross Country To Compete At Southeast Regional Championships

The Clemson women’s cross country team will compete at the 2004 Southeast Region Championships on Saturday in Greenville, NC. The Lady Tigers will face teams from across North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Kentucky and Virginia. Casey Phillips, Patrice McMillan, Laura Ann Rukat, Sudati Masasu and Jennifer Barton will represent Clemson in this weekend’s 6K race set to begin at 11:00 AM.

The regional, which has produced the NCAA women’s individual champion each of the past two seasons, features some of the nation’s top teams, including four Top 25 ranked women’s teams: No. 5 Duke, No. 8 North Carolina, No. 10 NC State and No. 21 Wake Forest. The top two teams will automatically advance to the NCAA National Championships to be held on the campus of Indiana State University in Terre Haute, IN on Monday, Nov. 22.

News
