Women’s Basketball Travels To Duquesne For Friday Night Match-Up

CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson women’s basketball team will travel to Pittsburgh, PA for a Friday night contest against Duquesne at the A.J. Palumbo Center. The Lady Tigers (7-6) and Duke (5-6), who will meet for the first time in history, are scheduled to begin play at 7:00 pm. The game will be broadcast in the upstate on WCCP (104.9 FM) with Dan Scott calling the plays and Kanetra Queen serving as color commentator. Fans will also be able to follow the action via livestats by accessing www.clemsontigers.com.

D’Lesha Lloyd will look to extend her double-figure scoring streak to 10 games on Friday night, as the native of Columbia, SC has increased her scoring average to a team-best 14.4 points per game. Fellow junior Tasha Taylor is also averaging better than 10 points per game with a 12.0 figure, while freshman Lele Hardy owns a 10.9 scoring average and a team-high 7.7 rebounds per game figure.

Scouting the Dukes The Duquesne squad enters Friday night’s contest with a 5-6 overall record after falling in its last three games.

Loui Hall leads the Dukes in both scoring and rebounding, averaging 12.1 points and 6.9 boards per game. Carmen Bruce ranks second on the team in both categories with 10.5 and 6.8 per game averages, respectively. Kristi Little averages a team-high 3.5 assists per game with 38 handed out in Duquesne’s 11 games this season.

As a team, the Dukes are averaging 60.2 points per game while shooting .400 from the field. They have drained 42 three-point shots so far this year for a 4.2 per game average. Little leads the team from behind the arc with 13 three-pointers made this season.
