White Defeats Orange, 3-1, in Volleyball Scrimmage

CLEMSON, SC (ClemsonTigers.com) – The Clemson Volleyball team held and intersquad scrimmage on Saturday at Jervey Gymnasium in front of several hundred fans. The white team edged the orange group, 3-1 (25-22, 25-15, 16-25, 15-13), although the players changed sides for much of the scrimmage.

The scrimmage marked the final tune-up for Clemson before they host South Carolina on Friday, Aug. 28 at 7:00 pm in the Big Orange Bash in the first Solid Orange event of the 2009-10 athletic year.

The tema got great efforts from their freshmen. Jessica Williams led the way in digs (17) to go along with ten kills. Setter Lacy Hayes, logged 28.
